The jelly beans also contain glazing agents (shellac, carnauba wax, beeswax), an acidity regulator (trisodium citrate), caramelized sugar, and coconut oil. The manufacturer states the product is free from all 14 EU major allergens, including gluten, nuts, and soy. It is also made in a nut-free facility. However, as it contains shellac (a substance from beetles) and beeswax, it is not suitable for vegans.
